~~Skills~~
Cost - 25 Cast Time - 1s Reuse - 20s
Mark of Rodgort~Hex Spell. For 14 seconds, whenever target foe is struck for fire damage, that foe is set on fire for 3 seconds

Cost - 7.2(15) Cast Time - 2s Reuse - 12s
Apply Poisen~Preparation. For 24 seconds, foes struck by your physical attacks become Poisoned for 11 seconds

Cost - 2.4(5) Cast Time - 5s Reuse - 60s
Favorable Winds~Nature Ritual. Create a level 8 Spirit. For creatures within its range, arrows move twice as fast as normal and strike for +6 damage. This Spirit dies after 118 seconds.

Cost - 7.2(15) Cast Time - 0s Reuse - 15s
Pin Down~Bow Attack. If Pin Down hits, your target is Crippled for 12 seconds.

Cost - 4.8(10) Cast Time - 0 Reuse - 3s
Penetrating Attack~Bow Attack. If Penetrating Attack hits, you strike for +14 damage and this attack has 20% armor penetration.

Cost- 2.4(5) Cast Time - 0s Reuse -5s
Hunter's Shot~Bow Attack. If Hunter's Shot hits, you strike for +12 damage. If this attack hits a foe that is moving or knocked down, that foe begins Bleeding for 20 seconds.

Cost - 2.4(5) Cast Time- 2s Reuse- 24s
Marksman's Wager~Elite Preparation. For 12 seconds, you gain 9 Energy whenever your arrows hit, but lose 10 Energy whenever your arrows fail to strike.


Cost - 2.4(5) Cast Time - 3s Reuse - 10s
Troll Unguent~Skill. For 10 seconds, you gain Health regeneration +8.


(All skills Cost/Dmg/Duration are in accordance to the spec of this character)

Hopefully you gathered by the name that this ranger deals in DoTs. You can use this toon to apply DoTs all over the place ( you can switch out Mark of Rodgort with Barrage if you want to use just poisen) OR (and my preference) to focus your fire on either the monk to keep him on his toes worrying about his own life/wasting his mana to keep himself alive, or just DoT the crap out of someone. Personaly I love to pick out some haughty warrior who thinks that rangers suck and make light work of him keeping him spamming healing breeze(since the majority of noob wars are w/mo) or he healing sig. Using a combination of Pindown and the inevidable of the war stopping to heal you should be able to keep ur distance. If you look over the skill list you can see that I havn't left our hard hiting ways (Pen attack and Hunters shot) and of course Favorable Winds. Use those 3 things you should be able to provide a constant flow of dmg, and fairly cheap.

My only concerns are No res sig (this build is for random arena, I am working on a GVG version) and Mark of Rodgort takes alllllllllllllllll your power right off....
so I thought would go sometime like this

FW >Marksmens (till you are at 25 agian)>Apply>MoR>(regshots till Marksmans is up (if its not already)) then ping away at em till you feel pen arrow/hunters shot is needed Rinse Repeat...
You can switch up apply and Marksmans Wager... havn't tested this out in pvp yet somy timing might be a litte off... and you MIGHT need a faster shot/shorter range bow in order to get your power up asap using Marksmans Wager AND so you are close enough to Hex with MoR when the time is right.
( I just rememberd.. that staff with +15 energy. Could easily equip that,, get FW>Poisen>Mark of Rogort *SWITCH TO BOW* and proceed to go about ur business.. ) that wil give you ALOT more time with FW/AP/MoF all stacked on each other... that my friends is pretty potent imho. IF that is the case and you do switch out to the staff then back to the bow I would consider switching out Marksmans Wager for Practiced stance to keep that poisen up longer. this

In closing I think that this build definatly has potential to put ALOT of pressure on a monk or even kill a single target using Heavy Dots (-11 I believe) and med/low-heavy dps. Please let me know what you guys think.. I did this in about 30 min just playing around and next thing I know I have this. Please be gentle ( BTW I am still really new to GW)
